The recipes that we use in the Cookery Room reflect the topics that each bubble are learning each half term.. Please click on your child's bubble page on our cookery page to find lots of fun and exciting recipes that you can follow at home.

During our cookery sessions the emphasis is always on the process and not the end product, so don't worry about what your recipe looks/turns out like, it's all about having fun!

Cookery Activities for March 2021

The Patron saint of Wales is St. David. We celebrate St. David's Day on 1st March every year.

St. David's most famous miracle was when he created a small hill to rise up out of the ground while he preached to a large crowd. As he did, a white dove landed on his shoulder.

A popular recipe that you could try at home is this yummy Welsh Cake recipe.

This year, Mother's Day is on 12th March.

Mother's Day, or Mothering Sunday is a time when children pay respect to their Mother's or special person.

Traditional Mother's Day gifts include, flowers picked from a meadow, eggs or a home baked cake.

You could try this Fairy Cake recipe to show how much you love your Mum/special person.

St Patrick's Day is celebrated on 17th March every year.

St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland.

There is a myth that St. Patrick drove snakes from Ireland.
