Getting Creative in the Forest
Forest School also gives us the opportunity to develop our creative skills using all natural materials which we find in the forest. We are learning to explore our surroundings and look for our own resources and then we are following visual or verbal instructions to complete a project.
We went on wilderness walks to find leaves for our crowns and hedgehogs, we threaded leaves onto string and then tied it onto a long stick to make wands and we searched for equal sized sticks and tied them together to make our reindeers!
We made photo frames by hunting for sticks and using the anvil loppers to cut them down into four equal sizes we then helped tie them together.
