Look at the wonderful handwriting we can do. 
In Chestnut class we listen and write along to the story altogether in class. 

Pre writing skills are the fundamental skills children need to develop before they are able to write. These skills contribute to the child's ability to hold and use a pencil, and the ability to draw, write, copy, and colour. 

Colourful Semantics

In colourful semantics , sentences are cut up into their thematic roles an these are colour coded: 

Who (subject) - orange 

What doing (verb) - yellow

What (object) - green 

Where - blue 


Pictures are also used to help construct the sentences and they are also colour coded to match the above. For example:
