Drama Role Play

The children got their backpacks and went camping!

Harry helped put up the tent.

Alishba and Elliot helped put the tent up.

The children hung out their washing.

Alishba ordered the washing.

Elliot and Harry helped peg the washing.

Ayman put his washing out too.

The children collected leaves and sticks.

We built a fire.

The children sat around the fire and listened to it crackle and pop.

We toasted marshmallows over the fire.

After a 30 second timer the marshmallows were ready to eat.

After toasting the marshmallows we joined in with 'tap your sticks'.

Elliot, Harry, Alishba and Ayman tapped along.

After that it was time to 'go to sleep' in the tent.

The children climbed in and pretended to sleep.

Salma, Alex and Brody went camping.

They stomped through the woods.

Salma helped put the tent up.

Brody and Alex helped too.

Look its up!

Time to put our washing out.

Brody and Salma helped.

We can help do the washing at home!

Brody is pegging the washing out.

Alex is getting his washing.

Salma and Alex used the pegs to secure their washing.

Making a fire.

Salma and Alex put the marshmallow on their skewers.

They followed the instructions to hold it over the fire together.

All the children could follow Hayley during tap your sticks.

Tap your sticks is a fun activity to do!

All the children have gone to sleep.

Its dark at night time.

Swimming in Holly Class

The children join in a group session.

They follow verbal instructions.

They all line up on the wall and kick their legs.

Ayman can make a big splash.

The children kicked water at Libbie.

Alishba likes the woggle to help her feel safe.

Salma is learning to travel across the pool.

All the children swim to the other side.

Once accross the pool they wait for their friends.

The children climb out of the water.

They sit on the side waiting for the next instruction.

They kick their legs making a big splash!

The children take turns to jump in the water.

Some children jump from standing.

Some children slide in from sitting.

Alex is learning to move around without holding on to an adult.

Harry is building his confidence sliding in from the side.

Ayman likes to jump and splash!

Hello and welcome to Holly Class!

The children in Holly Class have been having lots of fun these first few weeks, take a look at all the fantastic activities we have been completing!

Our work Activities

Harry made a space smallworld!

Elliot followed the visual instructions.

Alex made the sentences putting the words in order.

Elliot rolled the playdough into a ball when making an alien.

Max gave the alien spikey hair!

Elliot matched the symbol sentences to the pictures.

Ayman read the sentences and coloured the planets the correct colour.

Harry is learning to do some activities more independenlty.

Ayman matched the written sentence to the correct alien.

Max matched the symbol sentence to the correct alien.

Elliot is completing 3 activities independently.

Brody maytched the symbol sentences to the correct alien.

Alex could read the sentences.

He independently found the correct alien and matched!

Harry is learning to look and focus for a longer period of time!

Alishba could was able to read the symbol sentences independently.

She was able to concentrate for a longer period of time.

Max is learning to come away from enjoyable activities to do work.

Brody was able to read the sentences and match them to the pictures independently.

Kendall focused on the activity for over 5 minutes.

We are learning about pictograms!

Kendall placed the animals in the correct columns.

Brody was proud of his pictogram.

The children have been completing activities based on the story 'Aliens Love Art!'

During story sessions we have been making different kinds of planets for the aliens. The children have been scrunching to make a bumpy planet, Using cotton balls and pegs to make a spotty planet, Using paintbrushes to make a stripey planet and following instructions; mixing different colours to make new colours.

We learnt how to make new colours.

Alex mixed red and blue paint.

It made purple!

Ayman mixed yellow and blue.

It made green!

We moved on to matching sentences.

Kendall started matching a 3 symbol sentence.

Brody is ordering his his sentences in order.

Alishba finds the sentence and puts it in the pouch.

Ayman Is matching written sentences to the correct page.

Alex can read a written sentence independently.

Harry is looking for the correct sentence with good concentration.

Max is joining in too! He likes to sequence his sentences.

Alishba is concentrating with more independence.

Harry can do some independently now too!

Kendall looks at the board to check its correct!
