Hand Class

Hand Class

Hand class is a session where we support children to develop the use of their hands and arms.  The sessions aim to give children the skills to play with different toys and explore items with more independence.  We use different toys and resources to theme the sessions to our topic and to develop a range of different actions for exploration and play throughout the year.

This term's Hand Class session has included:

Stroking tinsel

Shaking bells

Moving ducks from side to side

Shaking a pom pom 'firework'

Dropping, throwing or knocking snowballs

Squeezing a squashy 'sausage'

Stroking a furry 'alien'

Have a look at these photos to see what we have been learning to do during Hand Class.
