Elm Class

Elm class had lots of fun at the caravan- we went to the beach, swimming, arcades, park and Disco!! There is not much more that you can fit into 24 hours!!

We can't believe that we are in our final term of the year! Our final topic of the year is Dungeons and Dragons and we have started by reading Zog and making our own fire breathing dragons. We walked all the way to the library to look for books on Dragons, Knights and castles and drew pictures from the books we found.

Elm class have had a very busy time throughout the first summer term. Take a look at what we have been up to- Yoga, Forest School, Painting, Music and lots more.

Creative Week- 8.5.18- 11.5.18. Elm class had lots of fun learning getting creative and messy! We focussed on a different Disney Movie each day- enjoying sensory play, art, cookery, music and dance!!

Elm Class went to a special concert at the Philharmonic Hall- we listened to all the different instruments playing our favourite songs.

We were very lucky to have Lush come in to make bath bombs for our mum's for Mother's day- we hope they liked them!!

Elm Class dressed up for World Book Day and even did Yoga and Music whilst dressed in our costumes!!

Elm class are lucky enough to be taught basketball by Everton in the Community- we have lots of fun learning new skills.

Throughout the Spring Term Elm class have been going to Forest School every Tuesday- take a look at what we get up to,

Every Thursday afternoon Elm class do yoga- practising moves, our deep breathing and enjoy relaxation at the end of the session

PSHE- We are learning how to be more independent when out in the community. We also enjoy playing different board games with our friends.

During the Autumn term, our topic is Celebrations!! We have had a busy start to our second half term on the year. We started off the term with Halloween crafts and a party.

We complete our Maths activities in practical ways.

What will we be learning about this term?

Literacy - Happy families book collection (Mr Tick the Teacher, Master Bun the Baker's Boy and Mrs Vole the Vet).

Numeracy - Quantities, calculations, measurements, money and time.

Science -Keeping healthy

History - Our local area

ICT - Powerpoint story books

RE - Judaism

PE - Dance

Art - Prints and self portraits

Cookery - bread

Continuous provision - praticing skills and role playing jobs.

We have 11 children in Elm Class, 3 girls and 8 boys.  Our class teacher is Lisa and we are really lucky to have Jane, Hayley, Molly, Tayla and Pat to support our learning.  We are all superheroes!!Elm Class Superheroes!!!
