Beech Class

Welcome to Beech Class.

 

Hannah is our class teacher and is supported by Rachel, Angela, David, Lauren and our apprentice Nell. 

Kirsty is our Learning Support Officer and is there to support Thursday mornings when we swim.

Sharon is our other Learning Support Officer who supports our class trips on Fridays. 

 

We have 5 boys and 4 girls; Tanish, Sean, Brody, Jamie and Tolaz,Isla, Mia, Libby and Ashley.
We are a super busy class - Keep checking our page to see what fun we have been getting up to!

Christmas Festivities

Christmas is approaching and we have so many fun activities planned.
Friday 6th December - Christmas Markets
Thursday 12th December - Christmas Play
Friday 13th December - Beech Classes Christmas trip to Rainford Christmas Tree Land
Wednesday 18th December - Christmas Dinner
Thursday 19th December - We will be meeting Father Christmas himself!! And Christmas Party Day (Children can wear party clothes).

 

We cannot wait to see our parents at some of these events and thank you for your support with costumes. 

Autumn Term 2: Dr Suess

 

Literacy - Wacky Wednesday, Green Eggs and Ham & The Grinch

NumeracyNumber recognition, sequencing, position and direction, handling data, mass and capacity, money, time and calculations

Knowledge and Understanding of the World - Looking at different events we will be celebrating; Christmas, New Year, Bonfire night. 

Cookery - Making a range of kebabs with fruits and vegetables. 

Music -  Exploring the different sounds animals make.

Art - Creating different animals using paper plates and a range of materials.

PE - Team games - turn taking.

Swimming - Independent changing and confidence in the water

Educational Visits - Lister Drive Fisheries, local cafes and parks & special Christmas visits.

Autumn Term 1: Liverpool - Our City

 

Literacy - Scouse Mouse, The Octopus' Garden and Night Night Liverpool.

Numeracy - Number recognition, sequencing, position and direction, handling data, mass and capacity, money, time and calculations

Knowledge and Understanding of the World - Maps and locations, history of Liverpool, floating and sinking, testing materials and forces. 

Cookery - Liverpool tart, strawberry tarts, bread, Scouse pie, vegetable pie and Mocktails

Music -  All things  'Beatles' - listening, exploring and enjoying The Beatles.

Art - Creating the Liverpool skyline with a range of materials and making sculptures of famous Landmarks 

PE - Football - kicking and passing

Swimming - Independent changing and confidence in the water

Educational Visits - The Palm House, Sefton Park, Albert Docks, Chinese Arches, Crosby Beach and Everton View
