Attention Autism

What is it?

Attention Autism is an intervention that aims to develop communication through the use of visual and motivating activities.

Attention Autism is divided up into 4 stages of learning:

Stage 1: The Bucket to Focus Attention

Stage 2: The Attention Builder

Stage 3: Turn-taking & Re-engaging Attention

Stage 4: Shifting & Re-engaging Attention

Why do we do it?

Attention Autism allows our children to communicate, maintain focus using eye contact, use gestures, use facial expressions, develop body language, and shared experiences.

During our sessions in redwood class, we focus on stages 1, 2 and 3.
