Alder Class

Home Learning

If your child is absent from school due to COVID-19 isolation, here are some activities to support learning at home.

If you need further support, please contact school.

Welcome to Alder Class page. In our class we have 5 boys and 1 girl. Our teacher is called Zoey. Sally is the LSO  and we are also supported by Gill who is our HLTA.  We also have Sara, Connor and Jackie to help during the school day.

We like to work to a very structured routine in class and most mornings consist of a lot of sensory input, play based learning and lots and lots of fun. Throughout the school day we join as a class group to take part in activities  such as Story Time, Tac Pac, Hand Class, Attention Autism and Music. Our afternoons include session that help to develop our independent living skills, working on individual targets. We embrace the enhanced curriculum, this includes swimming, climbing and rebound sessions, Immersive and Sensory room interventions and most importantly our educational visits within the local community. Recently, we have started to attend Forest Schools.

The topic this half term is "Who put the colours in the rainbow". The children have been exploring and experiencing lots of wonderful things related to our topic.

Please keep checking the website for photographs of our fantastic class and seeing our all then fun and exciting things that we have been getting up to.
