Acorn class have been enjoying a weekly trip to the local park (weather permitting). The children have really enjoyed accessing all of the playground equipment and the fact that we have repeated the visit over several weeks has meant that the children have become used to the routine and they are getting much better at accepting change and when a favoured activity has to end.
Acorn class also recently enjoyed a trip to a local cafe where we were able to eat our packed lunch. The children were so good at sitting at the table with their friends. We then went to the 'Senseability' play centre in Birkenhead and had loads of fun exploring the light room and the soft play equipment.
Acorn class just love to get out and about!! We loved a trip to the local supermarket when we were reading the story 'Dinosaurs in the Supermarket'. We searched high and low in the supermarket for dinosaur related food, clothes and toys - we found lots and lots!
We also went on a trip to the museum and had lots of fun looking at all of the dinosaur exhibits. We found lots of the dinosaurs in the museum that we have been learning about in class - like the t-REX. We enjoyed sitting in the cafe and having our snack in the cafe whilst we were out.
