Our sensory exploration sessions during the 1st Autumn half term have been lots of fun! We use a range of movements to access these activities using all parts of our body as well as using all of our senses to experience it. We also use these sessions as an opportunity to communicate whether we want something to continue or to finish. We have had a focus on a different body part each week. Some examples of what we have been exploring include making hand prints in shaving foam and trying to grasp a slimy bar of soap when exploring our hands, smelling (and tasting for some children) a range of strong smelling foods when exploring our mouth/ nose and looking at ourselves in the mirror and adding resources that all feel different to decorate laminated faces of ourselves.
