The children in Ash Class have settled really well into their new class group. There are 8 children in Ash Class this year. The class teacher is Zoey, Sally is the Learning Support Officer and Annemarie, Georgia, David, Jen and Lauren are the Learning Support assistants.
Last half-term, we explored the topic All about me and People who help us. Through teaching and learning activities and play, we have worked towards developing the children's social communication, their independence and their level of engagement.

This term our topic is Walking in a Winter Wonderland. Activities will continue to focus on promoting social communication, emotional and sensory regulation and level of engagement. We will explore numerous celebrations this term including Halloween, Bonfire Night, Diwali and Christmas.
We went to the local park to explore signs of autumn. We collected leaves, twigs, conkers and pine cones. We are planning to use the materials to make products for enterprise.
This term our topic has been down at the bottom of the garden. We have enjoyed searching for bugs in different sensory materials. Some examples of these are mud, sand, shaving foam, water, angel delight and many more.
In ICT we have been learning to take "selfies" using the iPad.
Our story has been Ladybird Ladybird what do you hear? We have been learning about colours and what sounds different animals make.
We also had reading week this term and we enjoyed exploring different books.
