Spring Term 2018
Wow, what a fabulous term we have had. We have explored the topics 'A Touch of Magic' and 'Me in my Community'. We have continued to develop our social communication and sensory regulation, as well as developing our independence and play skills.
We have had lots of fun this half term getting ready for Christmas. Thank you every one for coming to see us in the Christmas play, we all worked really hard and I'm sure you could see that it really paid off. We have been very lucky to have been visited by Santa and he brought us all presents!
We have done lots of things to celebrate Christmas this half term which isn't always easy as it changes our routine, but we have all done really well and enjoyed some fabulous special treats.
We had a lovely Christmas dinner made by our kitchen staff, we have had a party where we danced and won prizes, we had a visit from Santa himself and we got to go on a whole school trip to Crazy Town. Sometimes it can be very hard to go to new places but we were all amazing and we really enjoyed ourselves.
We had lots of fun last half-term learning about the circus. This half-term we will be exploring a variety of celebrations, including Divali, Birthdays, Eid, Hanukkah and Christmas.
Through our topic, we will continue to work towards our curriculum foci. The focus for our curriculum is ensuring we are ready for learning. We are working towards developing our social and functional communication, social interaction, attention, engagement and sensory and emotional regulation alongside our physical and creative development. In Ash Class we love to have fun!!
